Classic Chic Palm Springs HotelRestaurant

The very chic Colony Palms Hotel is set in a Spanish colony style building with Moroccan influenced design.It's been a stylish retreat for the incrowd as far back as 1936 when it opened and was once a speakeasy.The grounds are beautiful and have a very relaxed vibe that is classy yet not pretentious.You can imagine the young Hollywood starlets of the 40's50's lounging around in dapper dress.It's the kind of hotel that has cred, you can't create the old' school vibe in a new hotel.If you don't end up staying there you should at the very least dine in their Purple Palm Restaurant which of course has great atmosphere and great food.I recommend Sunday brunch with live jazz poolside.I also recommend the Bloody Mary and croissant bread pudding!
